The space we had available available was best described as tight, as you can see from the photo on the left.  The body was separated from the floor almost immediately, and hung by ropes from the garage beams. The chassis just about rolled in underneath and all the panels fitted in around them, somewhere...

 

Undersealing the 'shellWe had to do this every Sunday when we worked on it! And once we began working on the body, it had to be lifted down from its ropes, and often turned onto its side - boxes from the house removal came in handy to cover the floor!

The three pictures below show the rear inner wings.  The first is the rusty original, the centre photo is the bad section cut away, and finally the repair panel welded in. This is just one of the repair panels required!

 

 

Right: The tedious process of prepping the paintwork begins.  The many layers of primers and topcoats are visible on the far right.  The white and light grey are the factory undercoats, with the topcoats over that. The other grey and the beige are primers applied by the previous owners and by us.
