The MOT didn't go too smoothly. First of all the starter motor was sticking, so we had to go home and strip it down before they'd even touched the car. That sorted I took it back and put it through the test. It failed due to excessive play in the king-pins, and having no split pins in the steering arms. Dad was at work, so I had an hour to go home, sort out the problems, and get back for the retest before the garage shut. They did the retest on the forecourt, on a trolley jack, and it passed. Hooray!
