A substantial amount of work had already been done by the time I took possession of this vehicle. The advert I saw for it stated that the body was 95% finished, but of course this turned out to be not entirely true.
The extent of the rust present on the car can just be seen from these photos, provided by the previous owners. The edges and base of the spare wheel well are rotten, and the many other photos showing just how much bad metal they had to cut away are enough to make me glad I didn't start the project!
Above, right, is the state of the car when I went to see it, looking much more civilised with lots of new panels and a coat of primer.
